Multilingual Team | The Challenge 

Although ESS’s international hires arrived with strong English skills, many lacked confidence in everyday workplace communication.

They occasionally struggled with conversation flow, technical discussions, and understanding colloquial expressions. All of which could make settling into a new job and culture more challenging.

The Approach of English Learning

Everywhere English partners with ESS to provide tailored English training as part of the onboarding process for newcomers. Lessons focused not only on workplace vocabulary and technical language, but also on conversational fluency, cultural nuances, and real-world communication scenarios.

We decided the best approach was one-to-one intensive courses for these learners as they had a deadline on when they would arrive into the country and start their new life. 

The Result

Employees now feel more confident in meetings and informal conversations. Communication has improved during technical discussions with colleagues. ESS has also received positive feedback from customers on the communication skills of placed candidates.
